Abide With Me

I awoke with this hymn in my head this morning. "Abide With Me" is one of my very favorites, and feels especially relevant lately.

"Abide with me: fast falls the eventide;
the darkness deepens; Lord, with me abide.
When other helpers fail and comforts flee,
Help of the helpless, O abide with me...

I need thy presence every passing hour.
What but thy grace can foil the tempter's power?
Who like thyself my guide and strength can be?
Through cloud and sunshine, O abide with me."

Henry Francis Lyte's words are such a plea from my heart! In moments of doubt or weakness, I keenly feel my need for God's presence. And I need it every moment of every day!

What a blessing that He is with us, in cloud and sunshine, ready for us to call on Him for help. Take a minute to listen to this hymn today, and rest in the assurance of God's presence with us always. Abide in Him. He is good. ♥️
